We are ambassadors for the Polar Regions, and we take our job seriously.
Though seemingly hearty, rugged and even hostile, the Polar Regions are extremely fragile. Climate change wields harsher effects at the Poles than any other location on the planet. At PolarExplorers, we are dedicated to preserving and protecting these delicate environments.
Every time we drive or fly we emit carbon into the atmosphere. These carbon emissions are one of the major factors in global climate change. We can minimize the effects of global warming by reducing carbon emissions, increasing our usage of renewable energy resources and planting trees.
It is, of course, impossible to produce a polar expedition without also producing carbon emissions. We partner with Sustainable Travel International to offset the carbon footprint of our expeditions by investing in renewable energy resources around the world.
We are proud to be leading the industry on this important path. We encourage you to contact us with any questions regarding our carbon offset program or with questions about how you too can decrease your carbon requirements while at home or traveling.
