COVID -19 UPDATE
PolarExplorers recognizes that Covid-19 has changed the world as we know it - at least for now. Here's how PolarExplorers is adapting and responding: The 2021 North Pole season has been delayed to April 2022. We are moving ahead with plans for our 2021 expeditions starting in the autumn and we are actively preparing for all 2022 expeditions. We are accepting applications for those expeditions with availability.
We are closely following the Covid responses of our various gateway communities/countries and any possible requirements that they may have for entry, including Chile, Norway, Svalbard, Greenland, Iceland, Argentina and South Georgia Island. We are also evaluating the recommendations of our industry associations for best practices related to small group travel.
We know that information presented today may change tomorrow so our response is adaptive. We feel a significant amount of responsibility to our team members and guides, and their families, and also the communities that we visit during the course of our expeditions. Our goal, as always, is to plan and act responsibly, limit risk, and be respectful of our surroundings. We know that the decision to participate in a polar expedition can be tricky enough without a global pandemic in the mix, which is why we are available to answer your questions anytime. Just give us a shout and we'll be happy to discuss all aspects of our expedition and how we can help you prepare for what will surely be a remarkable adventure.
