Keith's Birthday and Favorite Kind of Ski day

Today is Keith's birthday, and he reported that today was his favorite kind of ski day. It was a full whiteout with very little contrast or horizon, kind of like if you were to ski inside of a ping pong ball. These kinds of conditions can make a normal day skiing quite tough, but in Keith's exact words, "the team did exceptionally well". I think the Riders are used to Greenland's many faces by now, and made another 17 miles! They even came into a strange area of extremely flat snow, unusual in these environments. They think it might have been sun baked, as they are experiencing some warmer temperatures later in the day.

The team got to cap off the birthday ski day with banana bread from Keith's wife Stacey and fudge that Sandy brought from the Forest Deli. They are retiring and will keep the grind going tomorrow. Thanks to all of you who are tuning in, and if you can, send Keith a happy birthday message!
