Leaving Dye 2 Behind

The Riders broke camp in gusty winds this morning, but before skiing onward, they climbed up into the Dye 2 radar station. They explored for about an hour, and were blown away by this super fascinating relic of the Cold War. A totally bizarre experience to wander around that abandoned facility.
They were able to find the bar in the lower levels of the station and participated in the tradition of signing their names on the wall.
And finally--FINALLY--the sun came out and the windspeeds dropped into the basement. Well, it's blowing 10-12 mph, but it looks like they'll get to enjoy some totally still, full sunny days later this week.
Even with their radar station side quest, the Ruff Riders still managed to cover 15 miles today. GREAT job team! They have really shown us how tough each and every one of them is.
