Soaking Up the Sun

Another super strong showing from the Ruff Riders today. They have settled into an impressive groove of logging 15 miles per day. How nice it must feel to cover that distance under sunny skies as opposed to the wet blizzards that they've been accustomed to.

Keith reports that they're still seeing a remarkable amount of birds, and a variety of species at that. They're nearing the middle of the icecap where it more or less looks like a flat sea of ice, so seeing some wildlife is a nice little treat.

They are definitely feeling a little bit giddy and are embracing the silly moods that tend to arise after weeks together on trail. Today they've been singing "Walk Like an Egyptian" during their breaks, but they've changed the lyrics to "Ski Like a Norwegian".

Tomorrow looks to be another sunny day with favorable wind conditions. And the good weather seems like it'll stick around through the weekend. Keep getting after it, Riders! GREAT job!!
