The riders enjoyed more beautiful weather today, and pulled off another 17 mile effort. Sunny skies greeted them in the morning. As they set out for their first march of the day, an atmospheric phenomena called Sun dogs (rainbow-like bright spots around the sun) appeared in the bluebird sky.
Keith reports that it was amazing to watch the sun dogs grow and change in intensity throughout the day.
The Riders have made incredible progress during the recent spate of favorable weather. But 17 miles a day is a grueling pace, and they've taken to performing nightly stretching routines to loosen up after a hard day on the trail.
A rest day must sound so good to them right now, but they'll carry on every day that the weather allows.
