It was a long and challenging day for our team in Svalbard. They skied out of Bolterdalen and have made it to Gangdalen, another valley just south of Longyearbyen. The group had another day of unfavorable conditions with low visibility and winds but managed 16 km of distance. A great effort from the team!
With a storm in the forecast tomorrow, they have set up camp behind a rock face in the hopes that it will provide some much-needed shelter. Everyone is pretty knackered after a tough day and they are happy to be warm and comfortable in their tents! The evening was spent enjoying buttery quesadillas and some hot drinks.
