The Greenland Crossing Starts Tomorrow!

Woohoo! We're off to the Greenland Ice Sheet tomorrow evening! This is CP by the way. And this is likely the last time I'll be writing a blog update, because I'll be on trail :)

Before I get into our day, I should mention our official team name (there might be a copyright issue...).

We had a great day of prep and organization. The last of our cargo arrived first thing this morning, and we got right into preparing our tents, testing our stoves, sorting our food (all 130,000+ calories of it, per person that is), getting our fuel, and talking through the game plan for the next month on trail.

At dinner, Annie presented us all with amazing sledge flags that she and her daughter made for all of us. The design incorporates the elevation profile of our route into the Greenlandic flag. It's really a very touching gift, and we all look forward to flying them with pride from our sleds.

Well, it's getting late here and it's a big day tomorrow so I'll be signing off. Time get the last night's sleep in a proper bed for quite a while :) This time tomorrow we'll be snuggled up in our sleeping bags listening to the wind ripple our tent. Icy paradise!
