White Outs and Wind.

Annie reports that the team was up early again with a 2:00 AM wake-up call. They managed to tear down their tents and uncover their buried sleds. The weather has turned on Greenland; the team is currently enveloped in whiteout conditions with blowing and falling snow. Temperatures are slightly cooler than the past few days, and the wind has picked up significantly. Despite these conditions, the team found a small window to navigate over four miles before the wind increased to nearly 40 mph. They set camp and dug in early, hoping the wind abates for a full day of travel tomorrow.

The forecast indicates that the wind will drop, but snowfall is still expected, along with warmer temperatures through the middle of the week.

We are sure the team is taking advantage of the forced rest day. These are great opportunities to reset, rest, and recover. Their next milestone, Dye-2, is nearly 20 miles away—less than two days of travel from their current position.
