Congratulations Shackleton Crossing Team!

The journey is complete! The Shackleton Crossing Team rose early in order to make their 8am pickup on the shores of the Southern Ocean. It must've felt like a short night, especially after getting relentlessly soaked yesterday.

But they were treated to excellent weather today, and just look at those smiles! Very, very well done, everyone. So many of the very best journeys involve stiff adversity and end in irrepressible grins :)

After leaving their expedition gear behind, the team embarked on a walking tour of Stromness Bay and the whaling station. I'm sure it felt great to walk freely without hauling a sled or monitoring their rope teammates.
