AC/DC Celebrates Under Stunning Skies

Annie reports that AC/DC is navigating challenging snow conditions, but they are under clear blue skies with light winds. Instead of dealing with sticky, globby snow, the team is encountering post hole conditions. Annie explains that each step and glide on the skis requires significant effort, as the skis sink into the soft snow, demanding a lot of energy to move forward. Despite the difficult snow conditions, the team achieved their goal of covering 15 miles. After setting up camp, they gathered in a single tent to celebrate Chris's birthday on the icecap.
Annie shared a photo of the "sun dog" halo around the sun, also known as a parhelion. A parhelion occurs when sunlight refracts (bends) as it passes through flat, hexagonal ice crystals suspended in high-altitude cirrus or cirrostratus clouds. The second photo is the evening celebration with some special treats carried along the way to share among the team.
