AC/DC is accumulating the miles. They exceeded 15 miles in their daily total and are currently camped at an altitude of 7,800 feet. They anticipate crossing the summit in the coming days. To date, they have covered more than 160 miles on this expedition.

Chris reports that the day began favorably with winds around 10 mph and good visibility. By the afternoon, whiteout conditions returned, and the wind increased. Chris described the wind as a quartering headwind from the southeast. You can imagine that the right side, especially the right side of the face, bears the brunt of a 20 mph wind. Fur ruffs are essential and help break the wind. The photo shows a homemade goggle skirt and fur ruff designed to protect against the wind. The team is excited to be nearing the summit, and the forecast indicates a stable weather pattern for the next several days.
