Arrival at Union Glacier, Antarctica

The day went according to plan today! The team was picked up early this morning and taken to the airport, where they checked in and boarded the 4-hour Icelandair 757 bound for Union Glacier. Any semblance of normal air travel ended when they set down on the blue ice runway.

The team is now settled in at Union Glacier Camp waiting for the weather to clear, offering an opportunity for their flight to 89 Degrees Latitude. Listen below to the audio update from Keith Heger, from UG Camp. And be sure to check back in tomorrow for more updates on the team.
