The Team Is Underway!

The 2023 South Last Degree Expedition has officially begun!
The team was informed this morning that they were cleared to depart Union Glacier at 11:30am. After a four hour flight, they began the trek and managed to cover about 3 nautical miles of southern progress.
The average temperature was around -26 Celsius with low wind and patchy clouds against a bluebird sky--a beautiful Antarctic day.
